What is Awana?
Awana is a ministry for children ages 3
years through 8th Grade that
focuses on learning God’s Word in a fun
atmosphere.
Each week, Awana provides consistent,
positive teaching and training that stresses
strong moral and spiritual values.
Our
clubbers learn about the reality of God and
the truths of the Bible.
Awana involves game time, handbook
time, and group time every week.
Game time includes active and
exciting team competition to allow all
children to participate, unleashing natural
energy and enthusiasm.
Handbook time emphasizes the
importance of memorizing God’s Word.
Leaders meet with clubbers
individually to hear the Bible verses the
clubbers have memorized.
Group time is a time of relevant
Bible teaching.
Clubs:
Cubbies – 3 & 4 year olds (must
be 3 by 9/1/07)
Sparks – Kindergarten – 2nd
Grade
Truth & Learning – 3rd
Grade – 6th Grade
Trek – 7th & 8th
Grade
A note to parents:
Each week your children will grow
spiritually as they learn.
But how fast?
To some extent that is up you.
Experience shows that encouragement
from a parent will make a big difference in
the growth of your children.
Please set aside time daily to help
your children study their handbooks.
